“You always bring warmth and I just want to put my hand in yours and learn how to light the world up a little.”

Happy Birthday to the man who lights up my world ❤️

When you realize that people are going to judge you no matter what you do - no matter how good it is or how bad it is - this is an opportunity for you to do 2 things:
1. Step into a place of service
2. Just do what you love, and love what you do.
So if people want to judge you, they can judge you for THAT because clearly they’re not doing what THEY love. ~ @jameswedmore
.
This year I committed to do what I love, which also happened to be something that put me in a place of service. For so long I was afraid of what people would think and say if I followed my heart.
.
As our first year of @ndinimedia starts to wind down, my only regret is that I didn’t do this sooner. I wish I hadn’t let my fear hold me back from doing what I love, and what also allows me to serve the world in the best way I know how.
.
Thank you to EVERYONE who has supported me on this journey. A special ‘thank you’ to my #GreatnessMastermind family who have inspired me, encouraged me, and held me accountable for putting myself out into the world in service in a new way.

This is a picture of me looking to the heavens for inspiration for the speech I’m giving on Thursday at @maritcollective! I’m happy to report that inspiration came! 😂

Come join me on Thursday to hear me share some of the life lessons I’ve learned this year from speaking to inspiring and trailblazing African women for @ndinimedia

"You have not heard it before, because it is an African woman's story, and our stories rarely are told. I want you to hear mine." - Leymah Gbowee
.
One year ago, inspired by this quote from Liberian Nobel Peace Laureate Leymah Gbowee our fearless leader, @sandra_chuma, created this platform and set out to tell the inspiring stories of trailblazing African women. NDINI was created to challenge the current narrative of Africa, and bring light to the many, many strong, intelligent, wise and passionate women who are blazing trails and showing the next generation of young women what is possible when you believe in yourself!
.
This Thursday, Sandra will be speaking at the @maritcollective's event, expanding on her powerful speech for International Women's Day. Join us to explore your ‘I am’ statement, and learn how it is helping or hindering you from being your best self. Spend the evening learning how you can use the lessons Sandra has learned through her conversations as you reflect on 2018, and who you want to be in 2019.
.
Head to @maritcollective to reserve your tickets - we can't wait to see you there! #IAmNdini
Yep! That pretty much describes how I make him feel most days! 🤦🏾‍♂️

I’m so happy I found the one person I want to annoy for the rest of my life. 🤣
.
Happy Anniversary! ❤️
